The Chapel Choir of the Papal Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi in concert at Frari

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Titian’s Assunta (The Assumption of the Virgin), The Chapel Choir of the Papal Basilica of StFrancis in Assisi will celebrate the event with a choral concert on October 6th 2018 at 8.30pm in the Basilica S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. “ASSUMPTA EST MARIA” is the title of the concert that will present the compositions of the most important Chapel Masters of the Franciscan Order of the Friars Minor Conventual (some of which, like fr. Giuseppe Paolucci, were directors of the Chapel Choir in the Basilica of the Frari in Venice). The Franciscan conventual, Fr. Giuseppe Magrino, is the actual Chapel Master of the Chapel Choir in Assisi An extraordinary concert for the excellent quality of the choir and for the original proposed repertoire.

The day after, Sunday 7 October, the choir of the Papal Chapel of the Basilica of Assisi will sing during the Holy Mass in Basilica dei Frari at 12.00.
